Fancy cycling around the entire picturesque Teinach valley once and conquering the diverse landscape with wild romantic river valleys and far-reaching uplands? The circular route initially leads along the Teinach stream - to Bad Teinach - the former favorite spa of the Dukes of Württemberg.
The cooling breeze refreshes as you pass through shady forests, past the typical Black Forest Lautenbachhof with animal enclosure and shortly after the sawmill “Glasmühle” appears before climbing up to the sunny Enz-Nagold uplands towards the village Oberkollwangen. The thickest giant sequoia in Germany - with a trunk circumference diameter of over 4.30 meters - is to be discovered in the next village Hofstett. A thirst-quenching break is offered by “Dürr fruit juices” in Martinsmoos with local products such as delicious fruit juices or Swabian cider as well as their own distilled whiskey.

The Bad Teinach train station is located 3 km outside on the Nagold Valley Railway (Culture Line) from Pforzheim to Horb. Modern railcars run on this railway line every half hour with connections to the InterRegio network in Pforzheim and the ICE and IC networks in Karlsruhe. Good connections to all districts are ensured by the bus service to Bad Teinach-Zavelstein and the taxi service (Tel. 0 70 53 / 9 69 60). There is no ticket counter at Bad Teinach station. The nearest ticket counter is at Calw station (Calw travel center, Bischofstraße 10 in 75365 Calw, phone 07051 2355, service hours Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00). More info: www.bahn.de
