Our house has 3 smoke-free and pet-free flats.

All flats are equipped with TV, WiFi and Nespresso coffee machine. Baby cot and high chair for infants are available on request.

Guests can park their car in the car park 10 m from the house.

Bad Bleiberg
Bad Bleiberg is situated in Carinthia, close to the border of Austria, Slovenia and Italy, in a picturesque natural landscape at 920 m above sea level between the Dobratsch and Erzberg mountains.

The village also offers numerous activities, an outdoor skating rink in winter, a cross-country skiing track and a small sledding hill. In summer, there are numerous hiking trails, both longer and shorter. All year round you can visit the mine, which has been turned into a museum, and the Friedrich healing climate mine, where therapy is provided for respiratory and asthma patients (also recommended for children).

Our house is an excellent starting point to reach the great hiking trails, skiing areas, Carinthian lakes, Villach, Klagenfurt, Slovenia and Italy.

History of Bad Bleiberg
The Austrian town Bad Bleiberg bears a piece of history in its name: For centuries, the village near Villach was known for its lead and zinc mining, which is still remembered today by the mining museum "Terra Mystica" and the numerous tunnel systems, some of which are accessible.

For ski lovers there are several ski areas in the immediate vicinity. The closest is the HRAST ski lift on the other side of the Dobratsch, 10 km away in Feistritz an der Gail.

20-25 minutes drive to Gerlitzen Alps and the Dreiländereck (Arnoldstein), 30 minutes to Tarvisio and about 35 minutes to Nassfeld. This is one of the largest ski areas in Austria with 110 km of snow-sure slopes and offers the best opportunities for beginners and professionals. A free bus runs daily from Bad Bleiberg to Nassfeld.

Those who don't ski can enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing or sleighing in the Dobratsch Nature Park or on the slopes of the nearby Hundsmarhof. Away from the ski slopes, the Dobratsch Nature Park has a network of 15 kilometres of winter hiking trails that can be walked with hiking boots or snowshoes.

There is also a cross-country ski trail in Bad Bleiberg, a slope for sledging on the village hill and a floodlit ice-skating rink.
After (or instead of) sports, our guests can enjoy the warmth of the town of Villach at the Drava. Wellness lovers will get their money's worth at the year-round adventure spa KärntenTherme in Warmbad-Villach. Children's adventure pool, super cool tube and panorama slides, as well as the "Crazy River" and an interactive water world await guests.

Every year in November, the Advent market opens in Villach. The traditional part of the market is a circle with wooden stalls around the main parish church, the Villach Nasch-Advent takes place on the main square. The popular ice skating rink in front of the town hall opens every year at the end of November.
