Virgen is different - more original, more rustic, decelerating. Experience the rural idyll of our mountain farming village - not only the traditional farms and fields, but also the loving, lavish floral decorations on the houses and customs are maintained here as they once were.

Virgen, with over 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, lies at 1,200 metres above sea level, nestled between the Großglockner and the Großvenediger on the southern side of the main Alpine ridge.

Use the easy hiking trails in the valley, past the thundering waterfalls and crystal-clear mountain lakes, hike from hut to hut along the Lasörling- and Venedigerhöhenweg above the tree line and finally climb a 3000m summit - your holiday dreams will come true here!

Or after an eventful hiking tour, dive into the cool waters of the solar-heated swimming pool with its 50 metre water slide, relax on the beautiful sunbathing lawn and let the sun shine on your stomach!

Another special feature of the Virgental Valley are the unspoilt fields with the Path of the Senses!

The Walking Arena Virgental invites you to actively move through the wonderful natural surroundings on 14 selected circular routes of varying lengths and levels of difficulty.
