In the past, Ca' Bianca was a forestry hut, converted into a place for recreation with tables and a fountain. Since 2019, a giant bench has been added in a panoramic position overlooking the entire plain below.
The Big Benches of the "Big Bench Community project", created by American designer Chris Bangle, are colorful installations over two meters tall, placed in panoramic locations and easily accessible to everyone.
Access to the area can be made by ascending a restored and gravelled dirt road or via hiking path no. 95: the loop is recommended, but for those not used to or without proper footwear for climbing a steep path, it is advised to ascend and descend along the dirt road.
The walk starts from the village of Monasterolo di Cafasse and takes place on the sunny side of Monte Basso, passing through sparse groves of birches and pines.
The route starts where via Lanzo becomes a dirt road: continue on flat ground until the intersection with the dirt road that goes up to Ca' Bianca where there is also an explanatory board.
I recommend not to go up the dirt road: continue flat for a few hundred meters until you take a small road that runs alongside a villa on the left and soon becomes a path (signs for Ca' Bianca). Follow the path until you reach the destination. The descent will then be on the dirt road starting south of Ca' Bianca.
For those who want to ascend more gradually or do not have hiking footwear, I recommend taking the dirt road indicated earlier right away. At the first fork, keep right and then continue on the main road ignoring any other paths. Near the arrival, a short path connector allows a quicker arrival to Ca' Bianca, otherwise the dirt road leads directly under the building.
Non-slip sole footwear and wind/rain protection are recommended
Given the sunny exposure, ascending on hot days is not recommended.
From the new roundabout on SP 1 in Cafasse, reach Monasterolo: upon entering, turn right onto via Lanzo to start the route.
Monasterolo is served by bus lines 226 Varisella - Turin, 229 Varisella - Ciriè, and 230 Robassomero - Lanzo.

From the bus stop, follow SP 182 (via Garibaldi) northeast until you reach via Lanzo. Then turn left and continue to the start of the route.
The municipality suggests parking at piazza cav. G. Peinetti, just outside the town.
Shortly before the start of the route, there is a small parking area (maximum 2 hours) between via Lanzo and via Manzoni.
