The Payrac site, which welcomes visitors for this walk, is a privileged place for discovery. Just a few steps are enough to encounter a wealth of heritage that is sometimes unsuspected.
While the forest, moorlands, and a peat bog bear witness to the unique landscapes and nature of the Lacaune highlands, the statue-menhirs, stone-lined paths, jasses, and pesquiès also tell the story of the mountain people. There is no doubt that Payrac carries the marks of this close bond between human society and nature.
