PASSA MERIDIA N° 12 - JONCELS / DIO-ET-VALQUIERES

Joncels Town Hall: Pass in front of the town hall and follow the Béros path. Continue straight ahead always ignoring the Béros le Bas and Béros le Haut accesses. Reach the DFCI EON1 track. Follow it facing forward and 300m later enter a singletrack in the undergrowth (Beware steep and technical descent!). Take back a track and turn left to bypass the Sacrifice Stone (downwards on the right).

Sacrifice Stone: Continue on the track, at the hairpin turn left for 300m then turn onto the right track. Continue straight on the main track for 1.5 km. At the cistern intersection take forward (EON1), and follow it for 900 m. At the fork, bypass the fenced property on the right. Descend by track then a half-paved path down to the Lunas railway line.

Lunas railway line: Cross it and take right to pass in front of the town hall. Follow right towards the village center and turn left to cross the Gravezon bridge to reach the church square (Tourist Office). Cross the small bridge, take left to climb to the Saint Georges path parking (View on the Saint-Georges chapel ruins on the left).

Saint-Georges Path Parking: At the entrance of the Monts d’Orb state forest, turn right at the hairpin and climb in switchbacks by the track to a crossroads with a pine tree in the center. At the crossroads, take left the DFCI track for 400 m and continue right on the main EOS1 track towards the "Le Plo de Laurier" wind farm.

"Le Plo de Laurier" Wind Farm: At the wind farm information shelter, turn right and descend in switchbacks (100m after the first switchback take right track for panorama of the Cross over the medieval castle and the Caroux massif) to the entrance of the village of Dio. Take right to arrive in front of the Lou Castellou communal lodge.
