Experience alpine magic: Discover Tyrol's largest alpine village
Nestled in the idyllic Tyrolean mountains at an altitude of 1,302 metres is the largest alpine village in the province: Fallerschein. With its 42 rustic log cabins, it gives the impression that time has stood still - an authentic piece of Alpine tradition in the midst of unspoilt nature.
The two huts that are open in summer, Michl's Fallerscheinstube and the Fallerscheinalm-Sennerstüberl, offer a special experience. Here, regional delicacies and genuine Tyrolean hospitality invite you to take an enjoyable break.
The way there is just as attractive as the destination: whether via the direct route from the car park at the Fallerschein turn-off (walking time approx. 40 minutes) or via the picturesque trail with suspension bridge from the Namlos municipal office (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes) - each option offers impressive nature experiences. Even in bad weather, the walk has a special charm and makes the alpine village a worthwhile destination in any weather.
The surrounding area is also an ideal place for wildlife spotting - with a bit of luck, you might spot the inhabitants of the Tyrolean Alps in the wild.
