The path leads from the cathedral square past the sports field over the Water-Life Oasis on the Gurk. After a short pause and a look back at the cathedral and the Pope's Cross, you continue walking until you turn right from the paved Pisweg street at the "Peace Forest" and follow the path that goes through gently to moderately ascending forest terrain. You arrive at the Debriach Cross with a bench, where you are rewarded for the challenges of the ascent with a wonderful view over the Flattnitz Mountains to the Seetal Alps. Then you walk a short distance along the road into the high-altitude village of Pisweg.
Right in the center, the inn and herb host "Zum Kramer" welcome you. Here, excellent cuisine with local wild herbs is prepared with much love and heart.
A visit to the parish church of St. Lambert with the freestanding charnel house is also worthwhile before you start the return journey on the same route.
Follow the yellow hiking signs with the herb symbol to Pisweg and back.

Sturdy footwear, drinking supply, and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.

Coming from Klagenfurt or Friesach take the B317 to Zwischenwässern, then continue on the B92 to Gurk.

You will find a wide variety of wild herbs on both sides of the path. You can even admire Arnica, a strictly protected medicinal plant, here during its flowering season.
