Les Muches and Saint-Riquier

A long route in the heart of Ponthieu: a hilly landscape, Picard architecture and the muches in Domqueur (a Picard word meaning hideouts or underground shelters).
Departure from the abbey square in Saint-Riquier (also possible from the town hall square in Domart-en-Ponthieu) for a 60km loop through small villages. Saint-Riquier has an abbey church and a royal abbey housing the cultural center, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed belfry hosting the tourist office as well as the Hôtel-Dieu with its chapel, the sickroom, and the apothecary. The route passes through Domqueur and its muches, (former 17th-century underground shelters). Also, through Ribeaucourt with its 17th and 18th-century castle and its garden Le Pavillon de Fantaisie. Then Domart-en-Ponthieu, a flowered village, which offers you the opportunity to take a break at the Somme craft brewery.
