Russbach, the Austrian hiking village, is a paradise for connoisseurs, hikers, and adventurers. Blooming alpine meadows invite you to leisurely hikes, splendid summit and climbing routes in mist-free, almost untouched nature. The magnificent view of the Hoher Dachstein and Tennengebirge accompanies you on all your hikes. Enjoy a good snack in one of the many cozy alpine huts.
From the village square past the Hotel Kerschbaumer heading east, go through the underpass and follow the Alte Gschüttstraße. Then a short stretch on the Paß-Gschütt federal road up to the pass height. About 700 m after the pass height, the Wegscheidstraße branches off to the left. At the first intersection turn right, and at the next intersection turn left towards Iglmoosalm (1,206 m). Return by the same route. You can take the post bus up to the pass height on the Paß-Gschütt federal road.

Sturdy footwear, a rain jacket, and a snack are recommended.
Coming from the A10 motorway, take the Golling exit towards Abtenau and Russbach. From Bad Ischl, drive via Bad Goisern and Gosau to Russbach.
You can reach Russbach by post bus no. 470 from Gosau and Golling. Information about schedules can be found at www.oebb.at
You will find ample parking directly in the center of Russbach.
