Around Lake Obertrumer, Lake Graben, and Lake Mattsee

The route starts in Eugendorf at the church in the town center. You ride the main road heading north, passing Hotel Gasthof Neuwirt, then downhill to the town exit. At the bottom, when you reach Obertrumer main road, keep left and pass the Bayhammersiedlung. A few meters later, turn left to Mayerlehen, go under the railway line, then turn right onto Ried, and immediately right again at the settlement onto Ried. At the heating plant in Seekirchen, turn sharply left onto Hippingerstraße. Follow this street until the next intersection, where Sommerweg joins from the right; here, follow Hippingerstraße to the left. Continue straight for about 2.3 kilometers and then turn right onto Schöngumprechtinger Straße. After riding through a small forest, you reach Bruderstatt; shortly after, you must cross the Mattseer main road—please be careful here! After about a kilometer, where the street makes an S-curve, you will find the Mattigtal cheese dairy and encounter the Salzkammergut and Mozart cycle routes. Follow these to the right until you reach Obertrum town center. At Braugastof Sigl turn left toward Brückenwirt, then continue straight on Seestraße. At the intersection near the Oitner beach, turn left onto the cycle path towards Matzing and Seeham.

Follow the bike/pedestrian path to the resting place in Matzing. You can refill water bottles at the fountain and then continue refreshed to Seeham. Here, you must ride a few meters on the street until shortly after the beach the cycle path resumes and continues straight to Fraham. At the intersection, you can go straight towards Mattsee to shorten the route to about one hour. For the longer route, turn left here—follow the cycle path with first views of Lake Graben. After a short forest section, turn right at the first farm toward Perwang/campsite Lake Graben.

Stay straight/slightly right to soon reach the resting place in Rödlhausen. Enjoy the magnificent views over the Salzburg lake district here as well. Then continue for about ten minutes (slightly right/straight) until you cross a small bridge after a short downhill section. Right after the mill, turn right and follow the Mattig River. At the end of the path, you must cross the Mattsee main road. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL HERE! Shortly after, turn left again; you will already see the Paul Green company premises from a distance.

Follow the street further until you reach Stein. Turn right immediately in town; farms are on both sides of the street. There is a small farm shop on the left with great dairy products and other delicacies. Follow the street uphill for another 2.3 kilometers until a sharp left to Wichenham. Follow the street until a right turn leads to the Gebertsham beach, where you can take a small dive into Lake Mattsee. The main route continues straight to Gebertsham. Turn right into the small village. There is a magnificent viewpoint with benches, a restroom, and a snack vending machine. The nearby branch church is worth a visit; it is a true gem. Just below the church, follow the path further. Ride up the road gently towards Reitsham until the fork where the Mattsee circular hiking trail turns right into the forest. In the first 180-degree curve, a natural path leads off to the right to Saulach, where you can shorten the steep climb; the path can be muddy depending on the weather. Alternatively, continue on the road to Reitsham, where at the large intersection in town, turn right past the inn Zur frischen Maß Bier and continue straight to Schalkham. At the first intersection after Schalkham, turn right onto the road to Obernberg and ride past the volunteer fire department until you reach the Köstendorfer main road via Unterberg. Follow it a few meters to the right and then return to the Mozart cycle route. Feel free to take a detour into Mattsee; enjoy the sun on a bench by the lake, visit the Bavarian village, or Mattsee Castle. The Fahr(T)raum museum in town is also highly recommended.

At Fahr(t)raum Mattsee, the path turns right; immediately after the parking lot, turn left onto Hinterwartstraße, then at the end again right to Wartstein. Go under the federal road, where a traffic ban indicates you must dismount and push your bike along the narrow path by the Wartstein. Enchanting views over Lake Obertrumer compensate for all effort. At the end of the gravel path, turn right and follow the street, which after a short steep climb flows back onto the bike/pedestrian path towards Obertrum. Relaxed, follow the bike path to Obertrum. Turn left at Obertrumer main road (Billa is opposite) and cycle the street to the roundabout. Cross it between Lagerhaus and Hofer. The bike path continues along the street through Schmiedkeller, Kothgumprechting, Waldprechting. A few meters after the BP gas station, turn left into Seekirchen town center. Follow the street straight through the entire town. After leaving town, reach a T-junction; please turn left. The bike path continues over Mühlberg until you reach the turning to Eugendorf on the right, where you started the route. Cross the main road and cycle the last meters uphill to Eugendorf town center. Now you can treat yourself gastronomically at one of the GenussWirte.

Take sun and rain protection as well as a small snack and drinks with you.
