Family via ferrata Peilsteinpalfen (47)

From the parking lot, follow the gravel path towards the dam and then immediately turn left onto a gravel path through the playground and follow this to a wooden signpost pointing to the Palsteinpalfen via ferrata. Then continue uphill through the forest to the first secured sections. The start is over a short easy step to a slightly ascending traverse that becomes increasingly exposed. Finally, you reach a vertical ascent secured with many footholds. At the end of this section, keep left to reach the emergency exit (B/C), which leads directly into the forest and to the Kesselfall circular trail above the rock face.

The main route continues to the right at the fork. Now follows the key section (D), a short but very steep ascent. Then it continues still very airy but easier, traversing right to the rope bridge. After the bridge, climb down short steep steps to reach the base of the steep gully (very well equipped with footholds). Climbing up the gully, you reach increasingly easier terrain leading to the exit in the forest, near the high ropes course.

The descent leads through the high ropes course to the Kesselfall circular trail and down to the parking lot.
