The Tour d'Ambin is for users of high altitude hiking and mountaineering routes. The key points of historical and cultural interest are the "Perthus of Colombano Romean" tunnel in Grange Pertus of the Municipality of Exilles and the Pramand Tunnel, of military origin, which currently constitutes an obligatory passageway at the height of the Saracen Grottos, in the Municipality of Oulx (awaiting reopening after works). Thecross-border itinerary winds between mountain passes and peaks of the Ambin Massif, site closely linked to the birth of Mountaineering
E’ la tappa tecnicamente più impegnativa del Tour; saliremo nel punto più alto dell’anello attraversando l’ambiente sub-nivale del Colle d’Ambin ove, in un ripido intaglio della cresta di confine italo-francese, sorge il Bivacco Blais. Ripidissimo 300 m sotto i nostri piedi, custodito come un prezioso gioiello nello scrigno, ammireremo il bellissimo Lac d’Ambin.
Considerato che il percorso si svolge prevalentemente in ambiente di alta montagna si consiglia attrezzatura e abbigliamento tecnico Scarponcini da Trekking, Pile, Pantaloni e Giacca a Vento in tessuto tecnico.
