The Roads of the Forts - Stage 8b - Variant to close Colle della Vecchia

This temporary variant is due to the closure for the work on the Road from Colle delle Finestre up to Colle della Vecchia in the Orsiera Rocciavrè Nature Park, which began on 11/6/25. The section is also intended to be CLOSED for pedestrians and bicycles until the work is completed.

This route takes advantage of Provincial Road 173 of Assietta a high altitude dirt section that is reopened to motor vehicles in principle in early July. It is scheduled to be completely closed to motorized traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays in July and August. The winter closure is scheduled from November 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, unless extended due to road conditions and work needed to restore safe traffic flow.
