Small Rosenkogel circuit

The starting point of your snowshoe or ski tour is at the information board at the upper Predigstuhl car park near the Lesehotel, which can be easily reached by car via the  toll-free panoramic road. Good winter tyres are recommended.

The  "Kleine Rosenkogelrunde" takes you partly along the Goiserer Höhenloipen - Walking time around two hours - for ski tourers the time is shorter.

Follow the yellow markings, after just a few steps you will reach the first turn-off towards Rehmöserstraße. Keep left, from here it is an easy, straightforward 40-minute walk.

Enjoy the glorious winter landscape above the rooftops of Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee .

In the middle of this section, a overview board of our holiday region Dachstein Salzkammergut awaits you.Here you can pause for a moment and enjoy the view towards "King Dachstein".

At the next junction, you will find a trail overview board.
From here, keep left twice and in approx. 20 minutes you will reach the upper part of the Rossmoosalm.

Now follow the markings on the right (Kleine Rosenkogelrunde and Hütteneck), after approx. After approx. 10 minutes you will now come to the actual junction of the Small Rosenkogel Tour.

Turn left, a short ascent follows.

In this short section, an intensive nature experience awaits you through the snow-covered forest.
Instead of going uphill, you will now descend a little through the winter forest and reach the junction you have already passed with the two markings from before.

Passing the top hut of the Rossmoosalm on the right is now a perfect stop for you to enjoy the great view over the snow-covered alpine landscape with its snow-covered huts, as well as the mountain world of the Inner Salzkammergut.

The last markings (Rossmoosrunde) take you back to the starting point in approx. 20 minutes.
