From the starting point, the "Hachtor", you first ride a short distance through the historic city center of Rüthen towards the cemetery. This is located on the site of the former castle of the city. Directly in front of the cemetery, you turn right down the Borgberg and continue in the valley of the Kitzelbach. After crossing the B 516 and the Möhne River, the tour heads east parallel to the Möhne to the Hankerfeld industrial area, then through the picturesque "Bibertal", past the outdoor swimming pool to the beginning of the "Walderlebnispfad Bibertal" (forest adventure trail Bibertal). Here the route turns right. It goes up into the Rüthen city forest. You ride a longer section along the ridge trail. Shortly before the Brilon city forest, turn left onto the cross path downhill into the Upper Bibertal, then climb up again on the opposite side to descend again into the Möhne valley. The B 516 is crossed again and on the opposite side it goes up the Hengelsbach valley. At the border to Büren (historic boundary stone / border of the districts Soest-Paderborn-Hochsauerlandkreis), you first go left uphill before turning left downhill after 400 m. After another 400 m, the route turns northwest and leads below the ridge of the Immenköpfe to the K 45. You follow this uphill and reach the turnoff to the "Römerlager Kneblinghausen" at the edge of the forest. Immediately behind this are the horse paddocks of the "Gestüt Wittekindshof", one of the most successful studs in Germany. You continue north until just before the Meiste industrial area, which you bypass on the left side. West of the village of Meiste, you comfortably follow the bike path to the starting point in the city center of Rüthen.
