LOOP No. 8 - LA CHAIZE GIRAUD

Starting from the Romanesque church of La Chaize Giraud, loop No. 8 takes you on a pleasant bike ride. After leaving the town center and its beautiful heritage, the circuit guides you through the lush nature along the Jaunay river. Some climbs are to be expected in the first part of the route.
The loop takes many rural paths and white roads, allowing you to get as close to nature as possible. On the way back, don't hesitate to get off the bike to enjoy the footbridge spanning the Jaunay river. A nice spot to take beautiful photos or for a gourmet break!
To see, to do: - Romanesque Church Notre Dame (M.H.C., 12th century), Poitevin style portal with bas-reliefs - La Croisée Mairand (site of the Vendée Wars) - Banks of the Jaunay (picnic areas). - Pont de la Chaize: Napoleonic bridge (picnic area)
