The Lake Gosau (in German Gosausee*) is a small protected *mountain lake, surrounded by a breathtaking natural scenery. The Lake Gosau can convince you not only with its unique color, but also with the gigantic Dachstein massif in the back.
Not for nothing is the Lake Gosau one of the most popular photo spots in the Holiday Region Dachstein Salzkammergut.
The lake has a length of about 1.8 kilometers and is about 500 meters wide. You can easily circle the lake and then enjoy a refreshment in the cool water. Around the Lake Gosau you can use all bathing facilities for free! The "Guesthouse Gosausee", which is located right at the Lake Gosau, offers you refreshments and snacks.
