Austria's largest (walk-in) moor experience for big and small naturalists is located at the Rossbrand in Filzmoos

Children can immerse themselves in the mysterious world of the moors at experience stations suitable for children. On the way to the various moor stations in the form of a picture book story, they encounter, among others, the moor inhabitant frog, the moor tree spruce, the moor creature butterfly, the moor acrobat squirrel and the moor beauty dragonfly. In this way, young visitors can interactively learn about the special flora and fauna of the moor. Further information is available via digital access points such as QR codes.

The picture book trail at Rossbrand starts at the mountain station of the Papagenobahn cable car, leads through the forest on a circular path about 600 meters long and ends at the Filz & Moor nature play park below the Schörgi Alm. Tourism boss Peter Donabauer is pleased about the opening of the new adventure world: "The Rossbrand with its moors is characterized by a particularly idyllic natural landscape. The new picture book path is a nature experience, nature laboratory and nature conservation project at the same time and, after the nature play park, the next big nature experience world at the Rossbrand. The aim of our efforts was to awaken the spirit of research in children and to create an additional nature-oriented offer at Rossbrand for the local population as well as for our summer guests".
