Right next to the mountain station of the 4-seater chairlift in Fendels, visitors are welcomed by a large playground with a variety of play equipment, from slides to climbing frames.
A man-made watercourse with dams and play areas delights both young and old. A Kneipp hydrotherapy facility and a small pond with a raft provide refreshment on hot summer days. The trampoline area invites sporty children and adults to try out acrobatic jumps. The terrace of the Sattelklause restaurant is perfect for soaking up the sun and relaxing.

Excursion tips for the whole family

From mountain carts and trail biking to themed walks, puzzle paths, and hiking trails – after a ride up the mountain, a colorful summer experience awaits curious visitors in Fendels.

Pure action: Mountain carts & Bike trail

It's not just winter that brings action to the slopes! In summer, the toboggan run transforms into a mountain cart track – a fast-paced adventure for the whole family. Trail bike fans can ride down the newly created Wildbach Trail into the valley – with a highlight along the way: a 30-meter suspension bridge over the Fendler Bach gorge. Bikes can be conveniently transported with the Ried-Fendels gondola lift.

Mountain of the senses: Forest bathing trail & Barefoot path

A walk through the themed trails on the Fendels summer mountain is a treat for body and soul. The forest bathing trail helps you unwind as you breathe in the forest air and enjoy the green surroundings. On the barefoot trail, shoes are off-limits – evoking childhood memories and strengthening your foot muscles at the same time. By the way, you don’t need to carry your shoes – the handy "Patschnlift" takes care of that!

Fendels for kids: Playground & Puzzle Rally

Children love the large adventure playground right next to the Sattelklause mountain restaurant. From jumping on trampolines and digging in the sandbox to exploring the expansive water play area – there’s no room for boredom here. If that’s not enough, the Owl Path Puzzle Rally offers extra fun: at the end, kids can earn a certificate and a gemstone for every correct answer!

For those who love to explore nature on foot, there are numerous hiking trails ranging from easy to moderately difficult. Many are suitable for strollers as well. The options range from short walks to extended hikes of 4–5 hours. Each trail has its own natural charm and rewards attentive hikers with blooming alpine meadows, rushing waterfalls, and sun-dappled forest paths.
