Circular hike "The Fool"

This beautiful circular hike starts in Marz at the Hotel Restaurant Müllner and leads to a wooded area where a mound of earth forms the shape of a person lying on the ground. On this hike, you will enjoy fresh forest air and beautiful viewpoints. The local folklore tells a story about it. Many hundreds of years ago, two farmers were on their way home from a drinking tour. While the two staggered along the village street on unsteady legs, one boasted that, despite his balance problems, he was strong enough to carry a full barrel of wine to the aforementioned spot. The other farmer expressed his doubts. The bear-strong man would not tolerate that and decided, as soon as they arrived home, to go to the cellar, shoulder a full barrel of wine, and make his way to the hill. However, the further he got from the village, the heavier the full barrel weighed on his shoulders. Turning back was out of the question for him, as his pride would not allow it. Only one hundred steps separated him from his goal. Due to the immense exertion, suddenly everything spun in his head, he fell and did not get up again.

The next morning he was found dead lying on the ground. The wooded hill where the man met his death was named "Fool."
