Furmint Trail Stage 2: Deutschkreutz – Kőszeg

Passing some of the most famous vineyards of Deutschkreutz - Goldberg, Ried Fabian, and Hochberg - the path continues through Kleinwarasdorf and Kroatisch Minihof to the spa and winegrowing town of Lutzmannsburg. Lutzmannsburg is one of the oldest winegrowing communities in Burgenland and, for more than 30 years, has also been home to the Sonnentherme Lutzmannsburg, Austria's largest and most famous children's and family spa. With many attractions, including numerous slides, a 5D underwater cinema, and a large outdoor area. Here, fun and action are guaranteed.

Along the Rabnitz River, you travel through Strebersdorf and Frankenau to Klostermarienberg, a small village right on the border with Hungary, whose townscape is shaped by the mighty Cistercian monastery of Marienberg. Around the monastery area, every year on October 26, the big Chestnut Festival takes place, which is all about chestnuts.

After Klostermarienberg, you cross the border again and continue your journey via Ölmod to Kőszeg.
