Large round route over Mechenhard and the vineyards
From the parking lot, follow the symbol E4 through the Hohbergsgraben to Mechenhard. At the Hohbergsgraben signpost, turn right and continue on the path with the symbol (red bird), gently ascending about 300 m to the forest edge towards Klingenberg to a viewpoint with beautiful views of Mechenhard and the Rücker vineyards. Continue through the forest to the junction to the Klingenberg gallows. Descending in the direction of Klingenberg, after about 300 m you will reach the Main hiking trail M. Here turn right towards Erlenbach and continue on the M 'Laubweg' with a magnificent view of the Main valley, until after about 2 km a junction leads left past the Hohenkreuz onto the Franconian Red Wine Hiking Trail and back to the starting point.
From the direction of Klingenberg: follow the through road Erlenbach (Miltenberger Straße), at the traffic light corner Mechenharder Straße turn right towards Mechenhard. Then continue as above.
Free parking available on a meadow plot near the mountain swimming pool.
