The route runs through the beautiful Main valley between Spessart and Odenwald, past steep vineyards. In many places along the way you will find the typical, seasonally open "Häckerwirtschaften" of the vintners. The destination is the "Pearl on the Main" – Miltenberg – which has a lot to offer your palate and cultural expectations.

The starting point of the route is the OBB Star Info Point at the Anna Chapel in Obernburg. Cross the pedestrian bridge to the other side of the Main to Obernburg-Elsenfeld train station. There, immediately turn right and then always follow parallel to the railway line to Erlenbach am Main, the gateway to the wine terraces. In Erlenbach, follow the signs over the railway bridge back to the other side of the Main to Wörth am Main and enjoy the view of the beautiful Main valley. In Wörth, a visit to the shipping museum housed in an old church in the old town is worthwhile.
Follow the bike path via Trennfurt continuously towards Miltenberg. In Kleinheubach, the Löwenstein Castle Park (in English style) beckons. Continuing on the bike path, shortly before Miltenberg, you pass the "Parkhof", an idyllic beer garden. There you will find an information board about the former Roman fort.
In Miltenberg, also called the "Pearl on the Main", you pass the mighty "Mainzer Tor" and along the Mediterranean-like Main riverbank to the famous marketplace, the "Schnatterloch". The local city museum houses, among other things, Roman fortress finds. The Mildenburg castle towers over the old town with the "Burg Miltenberg" museum presenting icons like Beuys and contemporary artworks.
Continue over the Main bridge to Miltenberg train station. From there, you can return by train to Obernburg or follow the bike path signs (from the railway crossing) to Großheubach. The wine village lies at the foot of the widely visible Engelberg Monastery.
Along the Main, you ride into the red wine town of Klingenberg with the impressive Clingenburg, its winding old town, artist studios, and the "Old Spice Office" of spice pope Ingo Holland. Then cross the Main bridge and along the Main bike path past Wörth back to Obernburg.
