Ski and snowboard heaven is right at our doorstep. The three ski areas of Heutal in Unken, Almenwelt Lofer and Steinplatte offer combined ski runs of over 100km of family friendly skiing. In Unken cross country ski fans are not to be disappointed: At an altitude of 1000m Unken – Lofer offers over 50km of carefully prepared ski tracks, with many more high altitude tracks to be found at Almenwelt Lofer. Winter hikers will delight at the stunning views over unspoilt natural panoramas. The romantics among you can soak up the view while enjoying a tipple of mulled wine from the comfort of a horse drawn sleigh.
