The Mystery Trail Furggstalden is an interactive adventure trail for families, children from 8 years, teenagers, and adults. Set in the impressive mountain landscape of Saas-Almagell, the themed trail takes you on an exciting journey full of puzzles, stories, and secrets.
At six stations you follow an old legend about the almost forgotten legacy of the dragon, which is said to be hidden deep inside the mountains. To uncover its secret, you must solve tricky tasks, find hidden clues, and act together as a team.
The trail combines nature experience, imagination, and playful learning – perfect for all who love being outdoors and adventures. Whether with family, small groups, or a school class: the Mystery Trail promises excitement, teamwork, and unforgettable moments amidst the Alpine world.

Using the hiking trails and the information on this website is at your own risk. Conditions on site may cause changes to the route.
Use only marked hiking trails and follow all signs and instructions – for your own safety, to protect livestock and without disturbing wildlife.
Be considerate to other trail users and the landscape. Take your waste and others' waste with you.
Carry sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong, even in cloudy weather.
Plan your hike carefully: take into account the required fitness of all participants, weather forecasts, and seasonal dependencies.
Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Suitable clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. Turn back early if weather deteriorates.
Do not enter glaciers without a mountain guide.
Observe warning signals indicating dangers.
Inform third parties about your route and, if possible, never go alone.
Pay attention to mountain railway opening times.
The Saas Valley is easily and conveniently accessible by car from all directions, whether from Switzerland or abroad. From the north, you reach us via Bern through the Lötschberg car shuttle. From the east, you come over the Furka Pass or the Furka car shuttle. From the south, we are accessible via the Simplon Pass or the Simplon car shuttle, and from the west you drive from Lausanne along the Rhone Valley to Visp and from there towards Saas-Fee. From Visp you drive south towards Saas-Fee. At the "Killerhof" roundabout near Stalden, take the second exit towards Saas-Fee. In Saas-Grund, turn left after the church towards Saas-Almagell.
Take the SBB train to Visp and change there to the PostBus towards Saas-Fee (bus 511). In Saas-Grund, change to the PostBus towards Saas-Almagell (bus 513). The tourist office is located directly on the Postplatz at the Saas-Almagell Dorfplatz bus stop.

Before starting the route, you must pick up your puzzles at the Saas-Almagell tourist office.
The Mystery Trail costs CHF 10.- per family/group. Payment is made directly at the Saas-Almagell tourist office.
Along the way there is a barbecue area and various restaurants to refresh yourself.
