The route starts at the base station of the Hohsaas cable cars and follows the field road. After the Triftbach, the route runs mostly through cool larch forest. At the Josef chapel, a short stop is worthwhile, as it offers a wonderful view of Saas-Grund.
Following this, the properties of the Alpe Bodme and Zerengi are crossed. After some hairpin bends shortly before Tewald, the view opens to the Saas mountains and Saas-Fee. From here, the forest thins and the view of the mountains remains. In the distance, you can see the Triftalp, which is farmed from late June to early September. Through the young larch forest, you reach the Zingelstapfu. Here, the Mattmark Reservoir becomes visible to the south.
In the distance, Kreuzboden soon becomes visible. With little incline but an impressive view to the north, the route continues just below Kreuzboden. After the last zigzag ascent, you are rewarded with a fantastic view of the impressive Mischabel range.

The Saas Valley is easily and conveniently accessible by car from all directions, whether from Switzerland or abroad. From the north, you reach us via Bern through the Lötschberg car transport. From the east, you come via the Furka Pass or the Furka car transport. From the south, we are accessible via the Simplon Pass or Simplon car transport, and from the west, you drive via Lausanne along the Rhone valley to Visp and from there towards Saas-Fee.
From Visp, drive south towards Saas-Fee. At the "Killerhof" roundabout near Stalden, take the second exit to Saas-Fee and follow the main road to Saas-Grund.
Take the SBB to Visp and transfer to the post bus towards Saas-Fee (bus 511). Get off at Saas-Grund at the Bergbahnen stop.
Parking is available at the base station of the Hohsaas cable cars.
