From Neuhaus am Rennweg, you first ride on the Rennsteig cycle path into the Werra spring area. The route is gently sloping on forest roads to the two Werra springs at Siegmundsburg (approx. 11 km) and further to Fehrenbach (approx. 19 km). From the Eisfeld rest stop at Rennsteig, the Werratal cycle route leads down into the valley to Sachsenbrunn. From Sachsenbrunn, the cycle path is paved. From Eisfeld, it continues via Bockstadt and Veilsdorf to the old residential town of Hildburghausen.

Always pay attention to the traffic safety of your bike. The cycle path partly runs on public roads. Watch out for other road users and ride with foresight!
Especially during the hot summer months, always carry some drink with you to prevent dehydration. A sunscreen with a high SPF is also recommended.
Coming from A73 take exit 5 (Eisfeld Nord) and then continue on the B281 towards Neuhaus am Rennweg.
RB 41 from Eisenach, Grimmenthal, Sonneberg to Neuhaus am Rennweg (alongside the cycle path) all year round daily at 1 to 2 hour intervals (free bike transport); KomBus line 405 from Saalfeld: as bike bus in the season from May 1 to October 31 on weekends and public holidays.
