GTA: Stage 5 Capanna Alpe Arena - Campo Valle Maggia

From the Capanna Alpe Arena continue towards Alpe di Madi on a trail which is essentially flat and allows to cross the final amphitheatre of the Vergelleto Valley to reach the left bank of the Valley at Alpe Porcaresc. From here, climb for another 150 metres of altitude difference to reach Passo Cavegna with its beautiful lake. The descent takes first to Alpe Sfii, still used by the animals and then, along a recently refurbished trail, to Cimalmotto in Pianelli. Continue on a paved road for about 30 minutes before taking the last stretch of the trail which will help you discover the village of Campo Vallemaggia. Its history is connected to Soapstone and, more recently, to the large landslide which was recently stabilised.
