Power place "Magical circle of chairs" (Place 10)

Option 1 – Via the Papageno Gondola Promenade

Start at the Experience Portal Filzmoos and walk towards the roundabout. Take the first road on the left and follow it downhill to the valley station of the Papageno Gondola. The promenade begins directly to the right of the valley station. Follow the path along the edge of the meadow. This peaceful walking trail leads you to the "Magic Circle of Chairs" energy site.

Option 2 – Via Bögrainhof Farm

Start at the Experience Portal Filzmoos and follow the road towards Eben. After passing the Zirbenheim (home to the Bögei Ski School office during winter), turn left towards Bögrainhof Farm. Walk past the stable building and continue to the Maple Tree (Energy Site 9). From there, follow the path to the Magic Circle of Chairs (Energy Site 10).

Sudden Weather Changes, Rapid Temperature Drops, Thunderstorms, Wind, Fog, and Snowfields These are objective dangers and require appropriate behavior while hiking. Hut hosts are experienced mountain experts and can provide valuable advice about the weather and trail conditions. Inadequate equipment, overestimation of one’s abilities, carelessness, poor fitness, and misjudgment can lead to critical situations.

In case of thunderstorms: Avoid summits, ridgelines, and fixed-rope sections at all costs.

A good backpack is helpful, and for routes in alpine terrain, a hat, gloves, a good jacket, and pants are essential basic equipment. Sturdy, waterproof footwear, sunglasses, sun protection, and plenty of fluids are also crucial. A flashlight, map material, knife, and a small first aid kit should always be part of your gear.

Available GPS data – like hiking maps – are only intended as orientation aids, as they can never fully represent the exact layout or detail of a trail in reality. Especially in potentially dangerous areas, it is essential to make decisions based on the actual conditions on site regarding whether and how to proceed.

Coming from Eben:

Take the Tauern Motorway A10 – exit at Eben – turn left towards Filzmoos. After approx. 11 km, turn right opposite the gas station. There is a public paid parking lot opposite the gas station.

Coming from Ramsau am Dachstein:

At the roundabout, take the exit towards Neuberg – shortly after the gas station, turn left. There is a public paid parking lot opposite the gas station.

By Train: Nearest train stations: Eben im Pongau or Radstadt (on the Salzburg – Bischofshofen – Schladming – Graz line).From Salzburg main station, regular trains (approx. every hour) go in that direction. The journey takes around 1 hour.

By Bus or Taxi: From Eben im Pongau or Radstadt, take bus line 521 directly to Filzmoos (approx. 20–30 minutes). Taxis are also available at the station if you prefer a direct ride.Tip: Buses are not very frequent, so it's best to check the schedule in advance at www.oebb.at

With the Fidibus Summer: From Hotel Neubergerhof, the Fidibus Summer (hiking bus) takes you from Neuberg to Filzmoos, stopping at the “Ortsmitte” (village center) bus stop. Click here for the timetable.

At the Filzmoos tourist information, you can get a hiking map (Euro 5.50) or a hiking sketch (Euro 2.00) with information about this route. Further information can be found in the "Power Spot Booklet" with the story "The Lights of Filzmoos". This can be purchased for € 2.00 at the Filzmoos Tourist Office.
