Our snowshoe route starts in the town center of Bad Dürrnberg. Follow Freudenbergweg to the cemetery and then turn right at the crossroads (Wallbrunn circular route). Cross-country, head up to the edge of the forest. The sunny winter forest continues straight ahead for some time. Shortly after, the path meets a road where we turn sharply left. Passing several idyllic farms and with a magnificent view of the Hoher Göll (2,522 m), we stay on this road for some time as it leads us in a large curve to Hofgasse. Before that, we cross a bridge and turn left at the Hotel Kranzbichlhof towards Bad Dürrnberg. Follow Hofgasse for a few meters until the signpost of the Wallbrunn circular route leads us left again down to the town center of Bad Dürrnberg.

The snowshoes required for this route can be borrowed at the base station of the Zinken lifts Hallein/Bad Dürrnberg.
Attention: Our hiking trails are not cleared in winter, so snowshoes are absolutely necessary for this route.

On the Tauern motorway (A10) take the Hallein exit (Exit 16) towards Hallein center. Follow the signs to Pernerinsel and then to Bad Dürrnberg. On Dürrnbergstraße, go up the mountain to Bad Dürrnberg. Our starting point is in the town center at the pilgrimage church Bad Dürrnberg.
By train to Hallein station, from there take bus no. 41 towards Bad Dürrnberg (stop Salzwelten).
Parking lot Salzwelten Hallein.
You can stop for a coffee halfway at the Hotel Kranzbichlhof.
