On the paved bike path or the federal road, it initially goes slightly downhill to Lenzing. From there, it continues towards Weißbach and Lofer. From here, it goes slightly uphill to Waidring and further to St. Ulrich am Pillersee, where you should definitely take a moment to enjoy the magnificent landscape. Then continue through the Wiesensee valley back to Hochfilzen.
Once back in Hochfilzen, the return journey to Leogang begins. This is then almost entirely downhill, allowing the route to end in a relaxed way.
Attention – Detour of the bike path onto the federal road around Weißbach
Due to acute risk of rockfall, the bike path between Weißbach-Frohnwies and the Dießbach power plant is closed.
Use of the former path is strictly prohibited – there is a danger to life!
The bike path runs for about 4 km directly along the heavily frequented federal road (B311) (it is signposted and marked).

The Steinberge route is also perfectly suited as a road bike route.
The Steinberge route can be ridden in both directions.
A break at the Seealm offers the perfect end to this route to reward yourself with regional delicacies and a refreshing drink.
