The Platten loop leads from Eben via forest roads to the neighboring town of St. Martin. On the way back, the Österreichberg is circled before arriving at Jausenstation Halmgut. Then it goes over the Ebener district Gasthofberg back to Eben.
We start at the monte popolo lift parking lot heading towards the town center. Before the railway crossing, keep right and follow the Pöttlergasse. Then keep parallel to the alley and follow the road to the Filzmooser Landesstraße L219. Turn right here and follow the road to the Stauchweg junction where we turn left. Follow the signs along Stauchweg and switch to Lerchenweg. Follow Lerchenweg to Pass Gschütt Straße B166 and turn left there. Follow the road through St. Martin am Tennengebirge and then turn left onto Oberbachstraße (before MPREIS). Follow Oberbachstraße and continue towards Jausenstation Halmgut. At the stream, turn right onto the Österreichberg loop (pay attention to signs). At the end of the descent, pass the barrier, then sharply turn right onto the initially steep path towards Jausenstation Halmgut. From there, it goes down over the Ebener district Gasthofberg into the valley to Fritzbach. Turn left here and follow the path to Filzmooser Landesstraße. Turn right there and return via the same route to the starting point.

Train: The Eben im Pongau train station is about 10 minutes on foot from the starting point.
Bus: The Reitlehenbahn bus stop is directly at the starting point and served by lines 270, 510, 521 and 520.
The monte popolo lift parking lot can be used free of charge all year round.
The connected loop around the Österreichberg can also be skipped on the route, and you can ride directly on the gravel road about 1 km (100m altitude) uphill to the Halmgut.
The route can also be ridden in the opposite direction.
A shortened version without circling the Österreichberg can be found here.
