The circular route around the Eibenstock dam is one of the most beautiful routes in the Ore Mountains. On the tour, which lasts around 5 hours in total, we take you to fantastic views, let you experience the history of mining up close on the mining nature trail and tell you interesting facts about the people and their dialect.
You will also climb the Bühler viewing tower, cross 2 dam walls and perhaps even enjoy the cuisine of the Ore Mountains.
So that you can enjoy the route, we will provide you with a well-equipped e-mountain bike with all the necessary accessories (including helmet). We will bring the bike directly to the starting point of the route and pick it up there again.
We start at the parking lot above the dam wall. You can also park your car there. From there, the route runs almost exclusively through the forest around the dam. Exceptions are short stretches through Hundshübel and the town of Eibenstock. The beautiful views of the dam lake are a delight on this circular route. At Schönheide, we cross the dam wall at the reservoir and take the water nature trail towards Eibenstock.
In Eibenstock, there are various catering establishments along the route where you can enjoy refreshments and Erzgebirge cuisine.
The Bühler viewing tower is also located in Eibenstock. The route then continues past the mining nature trail over the large dam wall back to the parking lot.
