From Palazzina Sertorio, descend along a path toward Forno di Coazze. After passing the ruins of Prese Meinardo, cross the Meinardo stream approximately at the aqueduct lock. From there, pass through Presa d'Tista to reach Località Pisi (disused ski lifts). Continue along a dirt road and, after passing the Via Crucis area of Grotta del Forno, ascend to Colletto del Forno. From here, descend through Località Viretta to reach the hamlet of Maddalena, where the Rifugio La Madlena is located.

In Forno di Coazze, you'll find the Grotto Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. There are also two sites of remembrance: the partisan ossuary and a monument commemorating the massacre in a mass grave.
