On this circular route, you cycle along the Rhine to Laufen Castle at the Rhine Falls, through the charming village of Rheinau, past the monastery island, and onwards to the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe. Experience this unique natural spectacle up close and feel the spray on your skin.
From the SBB train station in Neuhausen, you cross the Flurlinger footbridge and cycle along the Rhine to Laufen Castle. From there, the route takes you through the village of Dachsen and onwards to Rheinau. Here, a small detour to the monastery island and a visit to the Rheinau Monastery are recommended. Over the Old Customs Bridge, the path continues through Altenburg and Nohl to the Rhine Falls basin. From there, you enjoy a unique view of the largest waterfall in Europe. Afterwards, continue to the SIG area, where you follow Rheinstrasse back to the SBB train station.
Roadworthy bicycle, bike helmet, drinks, and snacks for in between.
