The marked, unprepared Galfer route runs over around nine kilometers from the Gamserrugg in the Wildhaus ski area to Grabs in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley. You overcome an altitude difference of no less than 1,600 meters. The start is in high alpine terrain at over 2,000 meters altitude and the descent finishes on the orchards in the Rhine Valley. On the way down the valley, the Skihaus Gamperfin invites snow sports enthusiasts to take a break. The descent route is suitable for snow sports enthusiasts with average to good skills who also want to move in open terrain occasionally.

The Galfer route is continuously marked from the Gamserrugg mountain station with yellow marker poles and the number 14.
