From the parking lot, take Chemin de Saint-Michel toward the cooperative winery and continue to Avenue André-Palmade. Turn right and cross the Canal du Midi.
Turn left and walk along the Canal du Midi, passing the floating tourist office. Continue along the towpath; it passes under the D 64. Turn right and head toward the D 37E16. Turn right onto a road shared by drivers, mountain bikers, and pedestrians. Cross the D 37 (use caution) and turn left onto the small road known as Chemin des Rompudes. At the end, turn right until you reach a crossroads.
Turn right into the vineyard. At the intersection, continue straight ahead. Pass under the D 64 (low-ceilinged tunnel) and continue until you reach a road; follow it straight ahead to reach the entrance to Villeneuve-lès-Béziers. Walk along the sidewalk on the main street, known as Chemin des Salancs, to reach the D 37. Turn right and, at the roundabout, take the second right toward downtown.
Turn left onto the narrow Rue Victor-Hugo and enter Old Villeneuve. Cross Place de la Liberté (church, fountain), and continue straight ahead on Rue de la Fontaine (many mansions and winemakers’ homes). After the square (municipal police station), turn left onto Boulevard Frédéric-Mistral and proceed to a roundabout.
Turn right onto Chemin du Pont Neuf. At the fork, continue right onto Chemin du Bourdigou. It passes under the A9 and comes out at the Canal du Midi. Turn right, walk along the Arièges lock, and pass under the A9 again. Continue along the towpath and then Rue du Canal. Head toward the bridge in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers.
