Feel-Good hiking trail Markt Piesting-Dreistetten Route 1

<p>We start at the Schmankerl-Wirt next to the forest pool in Markt Piesting and follow the red marking uphill through the "Frangelnwald" to the end of the Piesting town area. Here we find the viewpoint at the "Red Cross" and turn left onto the forest road. This leads us back with red markings to the starting point.</p>

<p>Always carry suitable <strong>maps</strong>. Wear sturdy <strong>shoes</strong> appropriate for the route, bring sun and rain protection as well as water and a snack. Take your <strong>mobile phone</strong> with you and save the emergency number for mountain rescue: 140</p>

<p>Your hikes in the Vienna Alps should be a completely beautiful and safe experience. Please note the following:</p><p><strong>Preparation </strong></p><p>Make sure when choosing your route that it matches your experience and <strong>fitness</strong>. Check the <strong>weather forecast</strong> beforehand. The weather in the mountains can change suddenly and rapidly. Therefore, always start out appropriately equipped (e.g., rain protection).</p><p>Check if the <strong>mountain huts and snack stations</strong> you want to visit on the way are open. <strong>Inform</strong> someone about your route choice and your planned return before you start.</p>

<p>From Vienna, you reach Markt Piesting via the Wöllersdorf exit of the A2, continue towards Gutenstein on the B21, at the first opportunity in Markt Piesting turn right from the B21 onto Wöllersdorfer Straße. After about 300 meters, turn left uphill towards the forest pool/Schmankerl-Wirt into Bocksbachgasse; after about 100 meters you will already see the entrance to the forest pool.</p>

<p>Take the regional train from Wr. Neustadt main station towards Gutenstein and get off at the Piesting-Harzwerk stop. Then about a 20-minute walk to the Schmankerl-Wirt by the forest pool. There are also buses to Markt Piesting.
