From the market square to the Traisen and follow the path via Berggasse to the clearly visible large or small Osterkogel. Very rewarding, good view (Göller and Schneeberg visible to the east). Follow the forest path to the left of the Osterkircherl to the Perthold weir and then back to the market square.
Total time required: 1/2 hour.

o The best way to reach us is via the Westautobahn (A1) — take the St. Pölten Süd exit — follow the B 20 toward Traisen, Lilienfeld, Freiland – turn left at Freiland toward Hohenberg onto the B214 – continue to St. Aegyd – in St. Aegyd, turn left onto Weissenbach – at the next intersection, turn right to the Zögernitz farmstead
o Alternatively, if you’re coming from southern Austria, you can travel via Wiener Neustadt on the B21 through Wöllersdorf – Gutenstein – Rohr im Gebirge – Ochssattel – St. Aegyd
o You can also travel via Mariazell on the B21 through Halltal – Terz – Gscheid – Kernhof (Kameltheater) to St. Aegyd.
