The wine cellar lane circular trail starts at the Erlebnis-Weingartl and leads mostly on asphalt paths (otherwise grass paths) - through four of Hohenruppersdorf's wine cellar lanes. Not all wine cellar lanes are the same - each one offers its own individual atmosphere, wide views and deep insights. The wine cellar lanes tell interesting stories about viticulture, culture and history.
The trail winds through a romantic sunken path, along the Naschzeile, to one of the highest vantage points. It then follows the local front-line breach from World War II to historic hiding places. The tithe cellar at Mauerbach Abbey tells its own story, as does a scraffiti in the parish cellar or the one at the Wimmer Cellar on Wiener Straße. The loop trail finally ends at the “Schwoazn Presshaus,” near the Erlebnis-Weingartl.
