The Kromos chapel trail leads along old rows of fruit trees along lane paths and municipal roads in an easterly direction over an elevation back to Biberbach. The highlight of the trail is the wonderful views of the surrounding villages along the trail from Rotte Sand to Rotte Kicking.
Chapels and wayside crosses along the route:
(8) Friedenskreuz
(9) Wegkreuz Schöndorf
(10) Wegkreuz Scherhub
(11) Kapelle Spachl
(12) Leonhardi Kapelle
(13) Wegkreuz Kicking
(14) Kapelle Kromos
(15) Kapelle Straß
(6) Wegkreuz Pyhra
(7) Kreuz im Pfarrgarten
From the starting point at the village square below the church, we follow the L6204 through the village eastward, passing the (8) Peace Cross and the (9) Schöndorf Wayside Cross on the edge of the settlement. At the end of the village, we cross the state road to the farm road "Bichl-Schacher" and go slightly downhill toward the Illmersbach stream. On the left roadside at the (10) Scherhub Wayside Cross, we cross the stream over a small overgrown bridge and follow the path straight uphill along a row of fruit trees to the (11) Spachl Chapel. Here we cross the street and follow the farm road "Spachl-Hamm" toward the hamlet "Sand." Just before the quadrangular farm "Untersand," we turn left north onto a narrow path, which leads downhill past the (12) Leonhardi Chapel toward the quadrangular farm "Wiesenreith," through the hamlet "Kicking" with the (13) Kicking Wayside Cross further to the (14) Kromos Chapel. This section of the chapel path offers wonderful panoramic views and a good view of the villages Krenstetten and Aschbach. After the chapel, we follow the L 6204 along the bike path a short distance westward, cross it, and follow the street to the quadrangular farm "Oberstraße." Here the path turns left and leads past the (15) Straße Chapel westward back to Biberbach. We pass the (6) Pyhra Wayside Cross, the football field, the tennis court, and the municipal cemetery. Before the parsonage with the (7) Cross in the parsonage garden, we turn left and back to the starting point in the village center.
