Maria Langegg: Around 1600, the Salzburg archbishop’s administrator Matthäus Häring founded a chapel and the image of grace after the miraculous healing of his child. Since the times of the great plague epidemics, the “Austrian help and healing mountain” has been regarded as a religious center and refuge for the sick and distressed. For 330 years the Servites cared for the pilgrims. They built the monastery and the late Baroque pilgrimage church "Maria, Healing of the Sick“. Aggsbach Charterhouse : Founded in 1380, the monastery was dissolved in 1782 by Emperor Joseph II and converted into a castle. The Charterhouse Museum reports on the work of the Carthusians and shows the history of the charterhouse. Opposite the uphill end of the charterhouse complex begins the Way of the Cross to Calvary Hill. http://kartause-aggsbach.at/

Roman Museum Mautern : located next to the best-preserved castle remains in Austria in the Baroque grain store of the castle. The most important exhibits include the love spell, the military diploma, a glazed figurine vase, and animal masks. The museum also offers a Roman room with reconstructed wall paintings and a kitchen with crockery from five centuries. · Opening hours: July 3 - October 31, 2020, Fri: 12:00-16:00, Sat-Sun: 10:00-16:00
