The plus of this hike is certainly the destination, Bivacco Rovedatti, but the route also has many elements of naturalistic and cultural interest.
The trail begins at Biorca (M 1,145), Val Corta, near a small field. The first section follows the restored link between the hamlets. The locality Fognini (M 1,300) is of architectural importance with two examples of blockbau from the 1600s. Trail number 163 "Alfredo" is to be followed through steep valleys and woods, through wide alpine pastures with casera: first to Piscìi (M 1,682), then to Püstarèsc (M 1,714). Wooden signs indicate the destination a 15-minute walk away and invite you back into the woods, then here is the beautiful wood-and-stone Rovedatti bivouac at 1,850 m altitude. The panorama is really wide and includes Val Masino to the north, the Valtellinese valley floor and Lake Como to the west and Val Tartano to the southeast.
The return follows the same route.
Biorca - Fognini - Casèra Piscìi - Casèra Püstarèsc - Bivacco Rovedatti
It is strongly recommended to bring plenty of water because the Bivouac is on a ridge and is therefore lacking. The drinking water fountains, in order of ascent, are at the following locations: Biorca, Fognini, Casèra Piscìi.
Follow Provincial Road 16 "Orobica" from Talamona, traffic circle of SS38, to Tartano, locality Biorca
