The route starts from Monte locality, in Valdisotto, taking the new road that follows the track of the ancient military road. Traversing dense coniferous forests, you will encounter mountain pastures and classic huts that preserve traditional architectural style, until you reach Alpe Zandilla, where there is a small but charming church. From Alpe Zandilla, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Alta Valtellina, from Sondalo to the Bormio basin.

- Carry with you the mandatory self-rescue equipment: shovel, beacon, and probe. - Wear suitable clothing: windproof jacket, gloves, hat, sunglasses, mountain boots or heavy winter shoes, and gaiters, plus bring backpack, hiking poles, and snowshoes.
