TRAIL ROUTE: BETWEEN RIVER AND DUNES

Starting point
Start at the Petit mousse hut for a warm-up along the river. You will follow the Narcisse promenade in a peaceful and bright setting.

The Jaunay, preserved natural area
Turn left and go up the street for 50m to reach the entrance of the footpath (on your left) that immerses you in a wild and preserved scenery between dunes and river. This is the beginning of your encounter with the Jaunay area.

In the heart of the dunes
Gradually the path invites you to enter the heart of the dunes, moving temporarily away from the river. To add some challenge, the path will make you cross a very sandy passage. A good way to warm up the calves.

Heading to the beach
You will then find the main access that leads to the beach. After this small technical passage, turn left to return to the riverbank.

Along the river
While following the path extending the Jaunay, you will move through a rather bucolic setting. On one side the river and its forest area in the background and on the other side pastures.

The Sauzaie stables
At the end of the path, turn right toward the campsite, you will then enter a beautiful forested area. Passing in front of the Sauzaie stables, you might be lucky to see some horses.

The Sauzaie beach
Turn left to descend toward the Sauzaie beach. Once at the parking lot, turn back. Keep it up, you are halfway there!
