Circular hike on the Weltenberg Mirnock

Route description: From Gasthaus Klammer you hike over a service road to the Gingerhütte. The hike continues over the Gingeralm to the Rindernock up to the Mirnock, directly at the intersection of the cult and monastery lines.

The descent is via the unmanaged Gotzeralm to the viewpoint "Kalten Brunn." Then it continues on a forest road past the Höher farm back to Gasthaus Klammer.

History:
Gasthaus Klammer is the birthplace of the ski legend Franz Klammer. He was the downhill winner at the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck, multiple world champion and four-time overall World Cup winner. He won all the classic downhill races, winning the Hahnenkamm (Kitzbühel) and Val Gardena (Gröden) four times and the Lauberhorn (Wengen) three times. Sometimes you can also meet him here.

An important prerequisite for a successful hike, besides careful study of the map material,
is optimal equipment. Basic gear includes sturdy, well-fitting hiking boots, as well as a water- and
windproof jacket and overpants (rain protection). Sunglasses, mobile phone, and first aid kit should also
find necessary space in a small backpack.
