Sonnwiesenweg

The route can be started at the Maibrunnbahn car park or at the Hotel Trattlerhof. Opposite the Hotel Trattlerhof, there is a section along the Gurktaler Weg and then left continuing on the Untertscherner Weg. Before the path takes a sharp turn to the left, turn right onto a meadow path that leads to the Drosselweg. From the Drosselweg, continue to the Obertschernerweg, where you turn left and then take the second path on the right into the Schwalbenweg. Follow it under the Sonnwiesenbahn, continue along the path for a short stretch, then turn left into the Fichtenweg. This then turns into a field path until you finally reach the Staudacher Weg and follow it to the main road. From there, continue along the sidewalk downhill to the Staudach bus stop (junction Alte Schmiede). Depending on your preference, you can continue the path with the "St. Oswald-Bach-Wasserweg", "Aussichtsweg" or the "St. Oswalder Höhensteig".

Important prerequisites for the success of a mountain tour, besides careful study of guidebooks and maps, are optimal equipment. The basic equipment includes:

solid, well-fitting mountain or hiking boots with grippy soles water- and wind-resistant mountain clothing in layers, hiking poles sunglasses, sun protection mobile phone and hiking map a first aid kit  as well as enough to drink and a snack

The route partly goes over public roads and paths. Watch out for vehicular traffic and observe the traffic regulations.
