E-Bike Route Ossiach - Velden - no. 11

Starting from the Ossiach tourist information, follow the Ossiach South Shore Road towards Alt-Ossiach (east) and turn off onto the Ossiach Tauern Road just before the elementary school. It then gets sporty up to the Ossiach Tauern pond. Bend after bend, you climb around 400 vertical meters to the Ossiach Tauern pond. After a rewarding rest, continue along the gravel road further east to the stud farm and the Tauernkirchlein on the idyllic high plateau. Heading slightly downhill, it goes quickly to the wooden toy maker Jean Luc Lenoble with the small showroom where his wooden products are offered for sale. The road merges into the L47, the Ossiach Tauern state road, and you take a sharp right towards Köstenberg. After a short climb to Alpen, the Tauerneck is reached and the worst is over. From now on, continue on the asphalt roads to Köstenberg, Unterwurzen and Oberjeserz. Here a short detour to the quiet Saissersee (Jeserzer See) is offered before reaching the tourist information in Velden via Kranzelhofen. The route is adequately signposted or easy to find in the reverse direction as well! Alternatively, you can also cycle back to the starting point via the R1 - Drau Cycle Path and the R2 or R2A - Ossiach Lake Cycle Path.

Ossiach is accessible from the Treffen - Ossiach Lake motorway exit via the Ossiach Lake South Shore Road.
