A route for active families who like to work up a bit of a sweat. Away from the main road, the path goes through a wooded area and several quiet villages initially to Damtschach, where we enjoy the beautiful view of the Karawanks. It then goes downhill for a longer stretch to the Renaissance castle Wernberg.
After the Wernberg monastery, the route continues downhill at high speed to the Drava – through Gottestal to Föderlach. The quarry lake there invites you to a relaxing swim.
Then the bike path takes you back to Velden
Velden – Duel – Weinzierl – Kantnig – Sand – Terlach – Damtschach – Trabenig – Wernberg – Gottestal – Föderlach – Lind/Velden – Duel – Velden
